Alaska's ongoing corporate filing is the Biennial Report, due only once every two years, which sounds convenient until you forget it is coming.
What is due and when
Every Alaska LLC must file a Biennial Report with the Division of Corporations and pay a $100 fee. Under AS 10.50.760, the report is due before January 2 of the filing year, which falls in odd-numbered years for LLCs. Domestic entities also file a free Initial Report within six months of formation to confirm the LLC's ownership and management details.
The Division typically sends a reminder before the deadline, but receiving that reminder is not a condition of the filing duty.
Renewing the business license separately
