Every Alaska LLC must continuously maintain a registered agent with a physical street address in the state, named in the Articles of Organization and kept current for as long as the LLC exists.

What the agent does
The registered agent receives service of process, official notices from the Division of Corporations, and biennial report reminders on the LLC's behalf. Because the biennial report cycle runs every two years rather than annually, a lapsed or unreachable agent can mean you miss a filing you were not expecting for another year.
The registered agent's street address is public record. Many owners who work from home use a commercial registered agent service to keep a residential address off the public filing.
Changing the agent
